Kiwanis Gallery: Narrow Works! Fibre Art Network

The Red Deer Arts Council oversees the operation of the Kiwanis Gallery, which is housed in the lower level of Red Deer Public Library's Downtown Branch. The gallery is open and accessible to the public during all library hours. Stop by and take a look! Current exhibit ( October 13 to December 13 ): Narrow Works! Fibre Art Network An elongated shape can lead the viewer’s eye through the artwork, enhancing its message or story, thus creating a feeling of unfolding drama. It can create an intimate viewing experience, as the viewer’s attention is drawn through the artwork. It can challenge traditional artistic norms and explore unconventional ways of presenting ideas. Smaller artworks possess a charm and an allure of their own. ‘Narrow Works!’ will allow our fibre artists to reveal their creativity and skill in a condensed and captivating form. Artists: There will be 40 artworks in this exhibition. First Friday Red Deer Opening: November 6 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The artists will be in attendance.
