Your Opportunity:

Reporting to the Facilities Maintenance and Engineering (FM&E) Operations Supervisor, the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic performs duties within the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic trade certification. This role involves maintaining, diagnosing, repairing, and optimizing Refrigeration and Air Conditioning components for efficient operations. Key responsibilities include conducting routine maintenance, utilizing diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues, installing new systems, servicing systems, and maintaining detailed records of all work performed. The Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic also collaborates with other maintenance staff and departments.

Description:

Refrigeration and air conditioning mechanics install, maintain, repair and overhaul industrial, commercial and residential refrigeration and air conditioning systems and their component parts. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the CUPE 2111 Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:

Must be a registered apprentice, an Alberta-certified journeyperson or hold a valid recognized credential.

Preferred Qualifications:

2 years Journeyman Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic experience preferred. or 2 years Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning Refrigeration Technician experience 2 years in a hospital maintenance setting preferred. · Mechanical aptitude is preferred.
