Join us to honour the National Day for Truth & Reconciliation on September 29th at Festival Hall (4214 58 Street, Red Deer) from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. This free event is open to everyone, registration is required doors open at 8:30 am and we will begin with our morning workshop: An Introduction and Understanding of Canadian Treaties: A Shared History Presented by: Terry Lakey & Brian St. Germain This introductory presentation on Canadian treaties will explore historical and contemporary information relating to the numbered treaties. Participants will gain an understanding of our shared past and examine the spirit and intent of these treaties. The Canadian Geographic Giant Floor Map will be used to help guide learning.
