STARFest selection: Fancy Gap by Zak Jones Fancy Gap is a powerful debut novel set in the isolated hills of Appalachia, where three estranged generations of one family confront poverty, illness, addiction, religious extremism, and buried trauma. As their lives unravel and collide, an explosive climax forces them toward a reckoning that is both devastating and redemptive, marking Zak Jones as a bold new voice in Canadian literature.
