Project Assistant, TLEG (Education)

About the Role

Working within the Department of Education, this position supports a Teaching and Learning Enhancement Grant which focuses on building math manipulative kits that will be used by pre-service teachers in class and practicum placements. This is a flexible position whose work schedule is variable and may include an irregular schedule of not less than three (3) hours per shift and up to thirty-five (35) hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Gathering digital resources to support teaching mathematics to students in kindergarten to grade eight 
• Building the physical math kits to be used in classrooms and in coursework 
• Gathering feedback from students on the effectiveness of the kits 

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Alberta Education K-8 curriculum 
• Student enrolled in the MRU B.Ed. program 

Salary:                  $15.45 - $19.44 per hour
