Let Them Eat Gayke!

In Canada, when you ask for a gay cake, you get a gay cake. Join author and storyteller Chris Paul Rainbows for Let Them Eat Gayke!, an evening of humour, heartfelt storytelling, and reflections on what it means to build authentic and inclusive communities. Drawing on their experiences growing up queer in a small town, Chris shares stories about identity, community, and belonging—including a memorable clash with a librarian and the story of the world’s most famous gay cake. Come for the stories, stay for the laughs, and leave with a little more to think about when it comes to creating communities where everyone can be their authentic selves. And there's an exciting bonus! All participants will have the opportunity to enter a draw for the famous APL Pride Jersey, signed by Canadian influencer, internet personality, and APL guest - Leroy! Registration is recommended to reserve your spot, but drop-ins are welcome if space permits.
